Common Questions

How long will it take to get my resume?

Generally it takes around a week to get your resume done from start to finish. When filling out my career form, you can specify any application deadlines you may have. This way, I will be able to work at the pace necessary to complete your resume well before the deadline. However, if you just saw your dream job and the deadline is tomorrow—we can probably make that happen to!

Will I be able to edit the resume you send me?

Yes! In fact, I will coach you on how to update and tailor your resume to each job you apply for. Your resume will be sent to you as a Google Docs file and/or as a PDF file. You can open these in Word, if you prefer.

What am I paying for?

Unlike other resume writing services, you are going to receive highly personalized, professional assistance, and ongoing support. I take the time to get to know you, and coach you, through this process. My resume-writing package includes a 60m walk-through session, offline work, industry/career research, a close out session, and ongoing support. I typically spend anywhere from 3-5 hours per client, and am very dedicated to aligning your resume with where you’re trying to go.

How does your sliding scale work?

I ask my clients to select their rate at point of intake. Typically, I recommend entry level and early career folk to select something in the $150-200, and management & executive level to pay the full band at $300. Obviously there are other factors to consider, including the industry you are working in, your current economic position, and the salary of your target positions.
