PUBLIC ART & INSTALLATION

My creative practice is focused on invitation, connection, and play.

I create art experiences that invite and inspire people to play. From pop-up play spaces to illuminated installations in the night—my projects are explorations in creating connection in deep and surprising ways.

My works are often created in collaboration with members of my community, and have been displayed by the New York City Departments of Parks & Transportation, the City of Seattle Parks Department, the Trust for Governors Island, The New Museum, Tribeca Film Festival, TEDx, the Fremont Arts Council, Lusio, Brookfield Arts, Ignition Northwest, Precipitation Northwest, and more.

We need spaces to practice our skills. We need spaces where we can struggle. And playgrounds give us those spaces. They give us opportunities to safely explore and work with our complex emotional and social worlds; to try on responses, to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
